Chuck Sells
As an experienced landscaper and avid outdoorsman, Chuck is passionate about working outdoors to create environments that fit attractively with their surroundings. He began in the landscape business more than 30 years ago, working his way up from lawn maintenance to design to management. His areas of expertise include landscaping, hardscaping, and lighting design.
Landscape projects are not just a “job” for Chuck. They combine his love of the outdoors with an appreciation of natural beauty, so he tends to be very hands-on. And even when he’s not landscaping, he can almost always be found outdoors—camping, hiking, shooting sporting clays, and traveling.
Chuck enjoys the creative exchange of listening to customers and finding ways to enhance their property and existing landscape. His designs are so natural looking, it seems as if they’ve always been there. Boulders have become his signature feature (his friends call him the “boulder man”) because they anchor a landscape in a naturally artistic way. When designing, he considers not just greenery, but also color and texture, incorporating the beauty of flowering and non-flowering plants alike.

Karen Amoroso
Manager
With over 40 years of experience in the landscaping industry, Karen has more than just a “green thumb”—she has a big heart to serve clients. She delights in making people happy by helping them create a sanctuary in their yard. Even if her clients are indecisive or have differing ideas about what they want, Karen’s calm demeanor and expertise can help them come up with a solution that everyone likes. Ultimately, her goal is to make sure her clients are completely satisfied.
Ever since taking horticulture classes in high school, Karen has cultivated a lifelong passion for learning about the art and science of growing plants. She earned a degree in Wildlife Management and Forestry, and she has continued to broaden her knowledge by participating in horticulture classes and seminars over the years.
When Karen designs landscapes, she loves incorporating a variety of flowering plants to add pops of color and beauty. However, she chooses plants that are not only ornamental, but also beneficial for the environment.
Karen enjoys getting out and about, not just to work with plants, but also to travel. She loves visiting different states and countries to get inspiration from botanical gardens around the world. One of the most impactful experiences she’s had was traveling to a secluded place in Mexico to see where millions of monarch butterflies migrate to every winter. She also loves traveling to collect artifacts and to hunt for dinosaur and plant fossils.
